BUTTERWORTH: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wants all MPs to set up a website for their respective constituencies, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz said.

He said Abdullah wanted the websites to serve as a channel for the Government to get feedback from the people on development projects.

“The websites can help us get feedback on how we are implementing our projects. This will help to smoothen the delivery system,” he said at the launch of the Batu Kawan parliamentary constituency website (www.batukawan.com.my) at the Chai Leng Park Multi-Purpose Hall here on Thursday.

Also present were Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon and Batu Kawan MP Huan Cheng Guan.

Huan said the website would contain information on the constituency’s activities.

“It will also have information on the questions that I raised in parliament and the debates I engaged in,” he added.

Huan said he would provide a computer each to all the Rukun Tetangga units, residents' associations and village security and development committees in Batu Kawan.

“This is to ensure that the people in Batu Kawan have access to the website, ensuring interaction between the people and my service centre,” he said.
